My name is Sadie and I’m addicted to shoes

On Saturday my person had a client over to talk website stuffs.

He left his shoes by the front door.

I’m afraid I couldn’t help myself.

I ate one of them and wow it tasted goods.

My man person has a pair of black Adidas shoes. They’re his favourites. Sometimes he forgets to put them away. And that’s when I get my chance to nibble away. I ate them once and he took them to the Shoe Doctor. Then I ate them again and he said he would live with it.

Then …

I ate them again this weekend. Like totally chewed the heel. Nice, smelly black leather.

I can’t help it.

My person says I must have chewed through 20 pairs of shoes.

That tasty leather, all that sweaty stuff. Mmmm, mmm. I can’t get enough of it.

My name is Sadie and I’m a shoe-a-holic.

  1. My Mal-shi just ate a shoe lace…do you think it will pass through just fine?

  2. Hello Mrs Denise – it took a very long time to train me properly. My person put puppy pads in one room and kept putting me on them and giving me treats. If I pooped in the wrong place she never told me off unless she saw me do it but she would pick me up and take me to the pads and say nice things and give me a treat.

When I used the puppy pads she would go really over the top by saying 'Good girl' lots and lots of times and giving me a treat. That way I learned that it felt nice to poop and pee on the pads.

My person has never been able to train me to poop and pee outside on command. I do it when we go on walkies but I do all my pooping and peeing on the puppy pads inside the house. You see it gets very cold here in the winter (minus 40). Sometimes it's too cold to go outside so I prefer the pads :)

Us Shih Tzus are very stubborn too.

  3. Dear Sadie, I have two new male Shih tzu puppies in my life now. They are almost 4 months old and I love them to death. I have tried different ways to potty train them, but they still don't get it. Do you have any suggestions for me and my shih tzus?
