How to recognise reverse sneezing in your dog

I’ve written about this reverse sneezing thing before but just this week the clever Dr. Karen Becker posted a video (below) giving another great example of reverse sneezing and I wanted to share it with you.

When we watched the video it reminded us how scary reverse sneezing is.

The last time I did it was in June this year. My person had been away for a few days at a conference and she came back very late at night. I was SO excited to see her that all I could do was this crazy reverse sneezing. She had to stop the sneezing before she could pet me.

It sounds so awful and sends my person into total panic.

My person usually puts a finger over my nostrils (which, naturally, I hate). But it makes the sneezing thing stop.

I think it’s super important for as many doggie owners as possible to be aware of this thing because we don’t need any more stress in the world :)
