It’s day two of my 12 Days of Cuteness – a celebration of pet cuteness over the 12 days of Christmas.
All intended to bring a smile to your face and a little warmth to your heart.
I’ve picked 12 of my favourite photos to begin each day but the rest are random and in no particular order.
If you want to be sure you see the new photos each day, use this link.
Oreo (dog of the day)
Meet one year old Shih Tzu Ricky. His mum says he just loves belly rubs [don’t we all!]
This is Kaizen, a four year old Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso mix. His mum says, “He’s my model for my doggie designs and if he doesn’t like it, he stays stiff and doesn’t move and gives me the look ‘Get it off, Momma.”
Meet Dexter James Bryant, a five years young American Cocker Spaniel. His mum says, “Dexter was married June 28, 2013 to the love of his canine life, Zoe Elizabeth Sorensen. They were wed in the Wigglebutt Wedding and we raised thousands of $$ for Cocker Rescue. We formed Wigglebutt Warriors and now will crusade to save dogs’ lives year round with [an annual] fundraiser.”
This is six year old Casey, also known as Peke-a-Poo, Baby, Baby-Boy, Casey-Q and Q-ber Butt. His mum says, “Casey is a therapy dog who knows a lot of tricks and is known throughout the nursing home by both residents and staff. Everyone just loves him and always wants him. We’ve [even] been asked if he’s for sale or up for adoption.
He came to me after my 10 week old Peke-a-Poo, Bosco, was killed by a larger dog (not any type of bully breed). He is and will always be my baby-boy.”
This is Peke-a-Poo Bosco who was one day shy of 10 weeks old (born May 13, 2007 :: died July 21, 2007). His mum says, “I don’t really have a funny story about Bosco. I only had him two weeks. I will say that when I took him to work with me, he somehow knew to go into a horse’s stall to go to the bathroom instead of the aisle way. He was killed just one day before he would have been 10 weeks old by a Husky. I think of him every day.”
This little Shih Tzu is seven and a half month old Cooper. His sister writes, “He is just something else. When he plays with my sister’s Shih Tzu, he jumps on the furniture and then leaps off and lands on the other one.”
